Salvation, a pathway to everlasting JoyJohn 1:12 “But as many as received him to them gave he tpower to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on his name.”(KJV) God can be effected only when we acknowledge what He has done for us and respond by surrendering our lives to Jesus Christ. Multitudes of people hold the false idea that Christ’s atoning death on the cross means the debt of human sin has been paid and automatically everyone is forgiven. Through, the cross God reaches out to penitent sinners, but it is only as they respond to him in a willing submission that they can experience the benefits of Christ’s atonement and perfect joy of the Lord. Forgiveness has to be received before it can take effect in our lives. The joy of the Lord, Heaven, as today’s text clearly implies, is open only to God’s children, and to become a child of God we have to open our heart to him in an act of penitence and faith. Key of the Joy to Heaven John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”(KJV) In order to be sure we go to heaven, when we die we must apply the work that Christ did on the cross by personally accepting Him as Saviour and Lord. For those who fail to do this and ignore Christ’s sacrifice the situation is as if the atonement had never taken place. Know this that, the Lord Jesus Christ, creator of the universe, will not step over the threshold of your heart unless invited. Without inviting Jesus into your Life – You’re denying yourself the everlasting joy of the Lord. Assurance of joy of the Lord for every unbreakable believer There is assurance of joy for an unbreakable believer - Who does not break with God. Paul Apostle tells us of ten things that cannot separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. He calls the roll of these ten things he identifies all the things that might break us here east of Eden: Roman 8:38-39 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV) In reality, Paul is saying, nothing can break you if you don’t break with God. We see these tens things as the ten horses of evil which attempt to ride us down and trample us with their feet. But because God is with us - No one, Nothing can be against us, instead of these ten horses of evil riding us down, we are able to grasp their bridles, swing into the saddle and ride them, making them go our way and not their way. As a believer, who doesn’t break with God – God assures you that he will cater for you and you experience the joy of the Lord here on earth and after death.

Important Points about Joy

All the believers should know the fact about Joy and what Bible tells us about joy: the fact is that Joy is from the LORD and is permanent. And you as a believer can still experience joy during trials, suffering, and testing. And when you experience joy, everyone around you will perceive the sign of joy which you have experienced. Joy cannot be hidden, is like a smoke from blazing flames which could not be hidden. It is this joy that ignites and motivates believers. Christ experienced joy which made him focus while He suffered excruciatingly on the cross. Though none of us will ever have to experience what Jesus did on the cross of Calvary – Hebrew 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith: who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.(KJV) This bible verse makes us know that joy was set before Christ and that the joy which was set before him makes him have endured the cross, despising the shame and the same joy is also set before us in time of trials, suffering, and temptation. Having endured the trials or suffering, you won a crown. the joy which has set before you must be your priority in time of trial you have to count it all joy, according to the word of God in James 1:2-3 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall, divers, temptation. Verse 3, knowing this that, the try of your faith worketh patience.(KJV) But note, that joy which is from God, will come during and after our suffering. And when it comes no one takes it away from you, it remains permanent with you. John 16:22And ye now, therefore, have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.(KJV)

The Christian’s Joy

Christian’s joy is a joy won out of the heart of pain. All the believers should strive to win a joy by the heart of pain. Knowing that, the reward is awaiting us; Jesus enlightens us about the joy, which we are going to receive after sorrow or pain in our heart. He says in John 16:22 “And ye now, therefore, have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. (KJV)” Just before Jesus went to the cross to die for our sins, He perceives that his disciples were full of anxiety because they were feeling like orphans. Jesus acknowledged their sorrow for now, but when they see Him again, a resurrected Jesus, they will leap for joy and this joy will remain with them through all eternity and Jesus promises that in John 16:22“So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” Because Jesus knew that the lasting joy is the joy that endured or a joy having won the heart of pain: So Jesus was able to bear the cross because He looked beyond it and saw what it would accomplish. And the joy of his achievement was greater than the depth of His pain. A Pure Joy James considers the joy that endures being pure joy in James 1:2-3 “My Brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptation; verse 3 knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Now, what is endured joy? The joy that endures is the joy that comes through doing good to those who ill-treat you – the joy of one who dies for his crucifiers. This is the kind of joy Jesus had and this is the kind of joy He is able to impart to us The fact of Joy The fact of joy is that Joy is from the LORD and is permanent.
