Salvation, a pathway to everlasting Joy

Salvation, a pathway to everlasting JoyAffiliate Program Get Money from your WebsiteJohn 1:12 “But as many as received him to them gave he tpower to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on his name.”(KJV) God can be effected only when we acknowledge what He has done for us and respond by surrendering our lives to Jesus Christ. Multitudes of people hold the false idea that Christ’s atoning death on the cross means the debt of human sin has been paid and automatically everyone is forgiven. Through, the cross God reaches out to penitent sinners, but it is only as they respond to him in a willing submission that they can experience the benefits of Christ’s atonement and perfect joy of the Lord. Forgiveness has to be received before it can take effect in our lives. The joy of the Lord, Heaven, as today’s text clearly implies, is open only to God’s children, and to become a child of God we have to open our heart to him in an act of penitence and faith. Key of the Joy to Heaven John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”(KJV) In order to be sure we go to heaven, when we die we must apply the work that Christ did on the cross by personally accepting Him as Saviour and Lord. For those who fail to do this and ignore Christ’s sacrifice the situation is as if the atonement had never taken place. Know this that, the Lord Jesus Christ, creator of the universe, will not step over the threshold of your heart unless invited. Without inviting Jesus into your Life – You’re denying yourself the everlasting joy of the Lord. Assurance of joy of the Lord for every unbreakable believer There is assurance of joy for an unbreakable believer - Who does not break with God. Paul Apostle tells us of ten things that cannot separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. He calls the roll of these ten things he identifies all the things that might break us here east of Eden: Roman 8:38-39 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV) In reality, Paul is saying, nothing can break you if you don’t break with God. We see these tens things as the ten horses of evil which attempt to ride us down and trample us with their feet. But because God is with us - No one, Nothing can be against us, instead of these ten horses of evil riding us down, we are able to grasp their bridles, swing into the saddle and ride them, making them go our way and not their way. Important Points about Joy

All the believers should know the fact about Joy and what Bible tells us about joy: the fact is that Joy is from the LORD and is permanent. And you as a believer can still experience joy during trials, suffering, and testing. And when you experience joy, everyone around you will perceive the sign of joy which you have experienced. Joy cannot be hidden, is like a smoke from blazing flames which could not be hidden. It is this joy that ignites and motivates believers. Christ experienced joy which made him focus while He suffered excruciatingly on the cross. Though none of us will ever have to experience what Jesus did on the cross of Calvary – Hebrew 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith: who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.(KJV) This bible verse makes us know that joy was set before Christ and that the joy which was set before him makes him have endured the cross, despising the shame and the same joy is also set before us in time of trials, suffering, and temptation. Having endured the trials or suffering, you won a crown. the joy which has set before you must be your priority in time of trial you have to count it all joy, according to the word of God in James 1:2-3 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall, divers, temptation. Verse 3, knowing this that, the try of your faith worketh patience.(KJV) But note, that joy which is from God, will come during and after our suffering. And when it comes no one takes it away from you, it remains permanent with you. John 16:22And ye now, therefore, have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.(KJV)

The Christian’s Joy

Christian’s joy is a joy won out of the heart of pain. All the believers should strive to win a joy by the heart of pain. Knowing that, the reward is awaiting us; Jesus enlightens us about the joy, which we are going to receive after sorrow or pain in our heart. He says in John 16:22 “And ye now, therefore, have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. (KJV)” Just before Jesus went to the cross to die for our sins, He perceives that his disciples were full of anxiety because they were feeling like orphans. Jesus acknowledged their sorrow for now, but when they see Him again, a resurrected Jesus, they will leap for joy and this joy will remain with them through all eternity and Jesus promises that in John 16:22“So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” Because Jesus knew that the lasting joy is the joy that endured or a joy having won the heart of pain: So Jesus was able to bear the cross because He looked beyond it and saw what it would accomplish. And the joy of his achievement was greater than the depth of His pain. A Pure Joy James considers the joy that endures being pure joy in James 1:2-3 “My Brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptation; verse 3 knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Now, what is endured joy? The joy that endures is the joy that comes through doing good to those who ill-treat you – the joy of one who dies for his crucifiers. This is the kind of joy Jesus had and this is the kind of joy He is able to impart to us The fact of Joy The fact of joy is that Joy is from the LORD and is permanent. And what Bible tells us, is that you as a believer should count it joy during trials, suffering, and testing. And when you experience joy, no man will ever take it from you. And everyone around you will perceive the sign of joy which you have experienced. Joy cannot be hidden, is like a smoke from blazing flames which could not be hidden. BIBLE VERSE ON JOY ABOUT JESUS AS A SOURCE OF OUR JOY

Jesus Source of Our Joy

Bible Verse on Joy described Joy in the hearts of the three wise men. When they saw the star of Christ’s birth, they were joyous. because Jesus Christ our Saviour was born. It signifies and declares that Jesus Christ is our Joy. “When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. Mathew 2:10” When a child is born, everybody celebrates the birth of the child, because he is joy for everyone to see a new born baby. whom delivered safely, for this reason, they rejoice and the day is marked as a birthday. But in the case of Jesus Christ is different because nobody’s birth had ever been directed by the star or visited by the three wise men. But it only happens on Christ’s birth; this is reason to celebrate him as a joy of the world.

Incomparable birth of Christ
Bible Verse on Joy has no account of birth of anyone compared to the birth of Christ. Jesus Christ birthday is incomparable to any other person’s birthday. Because, he is a Saviour to the world.  It is noted that once person is dead, they may mourn her for months, perhaps years, but the birth of the person is forgotten. But Jesus though he died, rose and he reigns forever. The birthday of Jesus is marked as indelible day to be celebrated in the whole world. The day is honour, it is important day for all Christians, which no generation will be left unaware. Therefore no one birthday can be remembered and celebrated like the birth of Jesus Christ.

THE JOY AND VISITATION OF THREE WISE MEN TO CHRIST

Bible Verse on Joy in Mathew 2:10 highlighted the degree of Joy in the hearts of the three wise men. they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.” The Joy was exceeding great, because the three wise men knew the important of Christ’s birth and his duties to the world. And the major one of his duties as a Saviour, he came to save souls. “For he shall save his people from their sins Mathew 1:21B” and to fulfilled his commitment, John 4:34 “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” For this reason, three wise men knew the birth of Christ, they visited him. And the visitation of the three wise men to Christ shows the respect, humility, an honour, adoration, obedience and faithfulness to the KING of kings and LORD of lords. The wise men who should have seen themselves as wise and highly reputable people, they ignored their reputation and were totally submissive to Christ; for they left their activities and spent their time to find where Christ was born. This truly shows humility and total submission to Christ in the regard to prove that he is our source of joy.

Presentation of gift by the three wise men
The presentation of gift by the three wise men to Christ was as recognition of honour to Christ our saviour, who served as our source of joy to the world.

Bible verses on Joy - Restoration of Joy

Restoration of JOY
Bible verses on joy in Psalms 51:12 say “restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
The Joy of Salvation is the Joy of the Lord over a sinner that repented and be saved. For the salvation of a sinner brings joy to the Lord, God then sees the repented sinner whom redeemed by the blood of the Lamb as his son. But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12.
When you are saved, your name is recorded in the book of life. But, once you go astray or backslide your name is erased completely from the book of life “And the Lord said unto Moses, whosoever hath sinned against me. Him will I blot out of my book.” Exodus 32:33

David’s sinned against God: in 2 Samuel 12:1-13 “AND the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich and the other poor. The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds: But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter. And there came a traveler unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him. And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and said to Nathan, as the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die: and he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity. And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; And gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wife into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel an of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things. Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? Thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. Thus saith the LORD. Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. For thou didst it secretly; but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun. And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shall not die.

Restoration of the Joy: When your sins are forgiven, Joy of the Lord is restored. In order for your sins to be forgiven as in case of David in 2 Samuel 12:13, he shows qualities of humility, genuine repentance, patience and faith. David sinned and was confronted with it, he repented and was forgiven. One must acknowledge one’s sins when confronted by conscience, Holy Spirit or fellow human being. And pray for forgiveness as David prayed wholeheartedly and his prayer was answered immediately. Without praying for forgiveness of your sins and for your sins to be forgiven the joy of the lord cannot be restored, which David was praying for, that is, God would not have joy in you! That’s why David kept on praying even in psalms 51:1-19. But in verse 14 of these psalms 51 “Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

Why David kept on praying for God: David kept on praying to God because he was still perturbed in his mind and wanted to be totally cleaned from his blood-guiltiness and he knew that only God is his salvation “O God thou God of my salvation:” absolutely knew and believed that he can restored back the joy of salvation, which he had once experienced.

And uphold me with thy free Spirit: David included this phrase in his prayer to conform to restoration of joy of the salvation. Because, it is reliable, David prayed for the free spirit of God to uphold him because he knew that after the forgiveness and restoration without Holy Spirit to guides him he can backslide.

The joy of salvation can only be restored, if you acknowledge your sins and pray sincerely with humility for forgiveness and also for Holy Spirit to guide you so as not to backslide. May the Lord almighty have joy daily in our life in Jesus name-AMEN

Condition for the Joy of the Lord: in order for everyone to obtain the joy of the Lord, there is a condition to fulfill and sacrifice to make. And what are the conditions; the conditions are that He that covereth his sin shall not prosper but he that confess and forsake shall obtain mercy. Here it tells us that nothing goes for nothing as the Lord himself paid the price for sins we also need to abstain from our sins to conform to the price paid for our sins in order for us to constantly receive his joy we need to abstain from our sins, confess and forsake them

Basis of Joy of the Lord: Joy of the Lord comes when you fear God, do his will, testify him, seeking his face and drawing nearer to him. Owning to hardship or challenges of life one may ask is there any joy in this life of evil generation and perilous time which we are into, the answer is yes to those that fear God. His words said the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. When you have wisdom of God you can deal with any challenges of life; as in the life of Solomon, who with the wisdom of God made good decision when it comes to Judge Israelite in time of conflict when he was a king. As God is source of wisdom to everyone even unto Solomon, that is why he says in THE LETTER OF JAMES 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. This bible verse gives joy in the sense that, it tells us that, it’s God alone can give good and perfect gift so we should only hope on him. What we only need to do is deliberately ask him and he will give us. He said in JAMES 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” 2 Chronicles 1:7 “In the night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, ask what I shall give thee. Then in Bible verse of this Chronicles 1:10 Solomon replied God what he want him to do for him. Here he said “Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for can who judge this thy people, that is so great?”

For the Joy of Lord he granted Solomon his request: Because Solomon knowingly asked God for wisdom and knowledge to Judge Israelite who is great to judge. And the joy of the Lord full for this request and Lord said in 2 Chronicles 1:11 And God said to Solomon,  because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: and in verse 12, God said “Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. Here God teaches us that when we asking in prayer we should not ask selfishly, as Solomon did not ask pertained to himself, then the Lord in his joy will multiply an answers to prayers.

J
oy of the Lord in King’s heart; By the strength of the Lord, the joy of the Lord must always be in the king whose God is his strength. One of the bible verses on joy recorded this in Psalms 21:1 that, the king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! Here in this verse, it enlighten all the Kings that joy comes not but by the strength of the Lord; and that all the kings should believe in his strength because with their strength they can do nothing. And to let the joy of the lord be their strength, Secondly, the same bible verse tells all the Kings that salvation is coming not from any Man, Woman or any other place but from God. That is why it says “And in thy Salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!”

The Joy of the Lord by putting trust in Him: Church of Joy is the Church who obtains joy of the lord by putting it trust in the Lord. Bible verse on joy highlighted two fact of joy of the Lord in Psalms 5:11, the first fact of joy of the Lord, is that joy of the Lord will be among those or Churches who always put their trust in the Lord. And they will ever shout for joy because God is their defense for putting trust in him. Secondly, bible verse on joy point out here in Psalms 5:11C that the Joy of the Lord is in those who love the name of the Lord. It says “Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.” Therefore, there is always joy of the Lord in the heart of those that love the name of the Lord. Let this be priority in your life, so as to testify.

Assurance of Safety and Security from the Lord:
Bible verses on Joy scrutinize the Joy of the Lord in the life of the Children of God whom God hide in his pavilion, in the secret place of his tabernacle and set up upon a rock in the time of trouble. This bible verse on joy in Psalms 27:5-6, tells us first about the safety and security of the Lord to all his Children. Now for the joy of this security of the Lord secondly, that your head is lifted up above your enemies round about you and in this reason thirdly, that you now offer unto the Lord in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy.

Kings have no joy in their life until they accepted that the source of their joy is of the Lord, before they can witness and testify the true joy of the Lord in their life. And in the Salvation of God that they would greatly rejoice, without Salvation of the Lord, they are but nothing and lifeless. And every Christian should put their trust in the Lord only and shout for joy because the Lord is our defense and to let the joy of the Lord overflows your mine for the love of his name.
